Robyn Decote :: Trained by John Caylor

Motivating

I have always considered myself a fit person. Fitness & nutrition has always been a passion of mine. I met John a couple of years ago by attending his boot camp classes. It wasn't until September of 2012, that I made the decision to work with John on his one on one personal training program. I came in @ 132 lbs and quickly watched my body transform right before my very eyes. Even as a former trainer, I was floored to see the changes in my body that John was able to help me achieve. His positive outlook, encouragement & belief in me is what truly allowed my body to morph into a lean muscular physique. Thanks to John & his confidence in me, I just completed my very first fitness competition through the Empire Classic on May 11th, 2013 and placed 5th out of my entire class without any prior experience. I listened to John & trusted the process. John brought me in @ my best physique I have ever achieved in my whole entire life. Just 10% body fat! Talk about being able to take my body to that next level... Thanks to John and what he was able to do with my body, brand new doors have been opened for me. I will be competing in my 2nd fitness show, Night of Champions this fall & I can't wait to be guided by John once again. I really did think of myself as a fit person, but this brilliant trainer has now showed me what fit really is. There is an absolute reason why this man has been awarded with the major achievement of Coeur d'Alene's very best trainer 3 years in a row... No one is more worthy of this title than John is. Thank you for your mentorship & friendship John! You are by far the very best in my book!

Cole Oaks :: Trained by Ruth Dixon

I can remember always loving to eat. Growing up I would always play a sport and was pretty active but as I got bigger I slowly and eventually stopped any sort of physical activity. Around 8th grade  decided I wanted to try to lose  weight. I went on extreme fad, ridiculous diets and they never worked. Eventually I gave up. Entering my sophomore year in high school at a whopping 280 pounds I decided I needed to do something and do it now why I’m young. September 2011, I was introduced to Fitness on 4th. Instantaneously they took me in as their Team project. I immediately gained so many great relationships with everyone at the gym. Ruth, who is still my trainer and has been with me along this journey the whole time, took me in as her client. It was so amazing to me when I first reached my 30 pound mark. The short goals I set for myself along my journey are what kept me so motivated along with the support of everyone at the gym. I feel like family in this gym and I Love every single person as if they were family. The relationships you gain there are lifetime relationships.  8 months later after an Amazing journey I have arrived at my goal weight 180. I have lost 100 pounds and without the whole staff at F4 it would have never been possible!  I  hope my story can help and inspire other teens out there who are struggling with their weight. My next step in this journey is to do exactly that, help others. I plan on interning at F4 my junior summer and become a personal trainer.

Kathy Gemar :: Trained by Correna Barnard

A gym can be an extremely intimidating place to an overweight lifelong couch potato.  The only thing I was confident that I knew about a gym was “I can’t do that.”  But after finding a diet that actually worked and losing 30 pounds, I started to realize that diet alone wasn’t enough.  I needed to find a way to build some muscle strength and tone up.  My attempts to exercise on my own never lasted and usually ended in injury of some sort.  After some gentle but persistent nagging from a friend at work, I finally squared my shoulders and called Fitness on Fourth.  My friend assured me that Correna would work with me at my level and that I had no reason to be intimidated.  Six months and an additional 25 pounds of weight loss later, I find myself amazed at the new me.  No, I’m not about to run a marathon, but I’m stronger, have more energy and endurance, and can actually see some muscle definition!  Who would have thought that could ever happen to me?  My goal now is to make sure these changes remain lifelong and permanent and I’m confident that’s an attainable goal.

Kevin Santamaria :: Trained by Josh Merz

Kevin Santamaria BeforeKevin Santamaria AfterI came to Fitness on 4th to see my trainer Josh Merz for the first time on June 1st, 2009. I was shocked to see that I weighed 371 pounds. Despite the desperate need to change, I was skeptical that Josh could help me. However I was determined to give it 100% for three months with Josh. Those three months proved to be life changing. I did what I thought was impossible. I witnessed 53 lbs melt off me. I then set the ambitious goal of losing 100 lbs by the end of the year. On 12/31/2009, I weighed in at the gym for the final time of the year and I weighed 271 pounds even! I hit my initial goal of losing 100 lbs in just 7 months. The sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. I owe my trainer Josh Merz and Fitness on 4th a great deal of gratitude. Thank you so much Josh, and a special thank you to all the supportive folks at Fitness on 4th.

Chantell Steinke :: Trained by Laura Milks

Chantell Steinke BeforeChantell Steinke AfterIn February 2010, I started to train with Laura Milks. My beginning weight was 218 lbs. With the help of the proper food diet and working out twice a week, I began to drop pound after pound. Now after almost a year, I have lost 40 lbs. This shows me that with self control and an encouraging trainer, I can do it. I'm now looking forward to see how much further I can go.

Amanda Hone BeforeAmanda Hone AfterHello, my name is Amanda. I have struggled with my weight nearly all of my life. I never remember feeling 'thin' or 'healthy' growing up. A few years ago at 215 lbs I started a weight loss program and did okay, losing 43 lbs. I maintained for the most part and felt great (at the time) for my wedding in June of 2008. Soon after, I became pregnant and gained a whopping 75 lbs! The April after my daughters birth date in January 2009, I was 222 lbs, feeling hopeless and helpless wanting so badly to have the motivation to do something about it! On my birthday, October 6th of 2009, I met with Correna. I have lost nearly 60 lbs and have learned how to eat to maintain a healthy lifestyle. My life and my body have been transformed, although I am still a work in progress, I can't begin to tell you how amazing this program has been for me! I am very busy and have never had much time to spend in the gym, when I heard all I needed was a half hour a week, I was committed! I now try to implement more time for exercise knowing how important it is for me to stay on track, but I know too that I have the tools to maintain a healthy weight even with little time. This fitness plan is amazing and it really works, it is for anyone and everyone, for every age and size! Whether you are continuing your journey, or just starting out, I wish you hope and success!
